Thomas Markle was 'not paid' for Good Morning Britain TV interview
Thomas Markle appeared on ITV’s Good Morning Britain for a second time this year – but did not receive payment for his interview.
The retired Hollywood lighting director, 74, has not spoken to his estranged daughter, the Duchess of Sussex, since her wedding to Prince Harry in May.
Mr Markle revealed he has “reached out” to Meghan every day, but has had no response from her and hoped that the Queen could help mend the rift.
Mr Markle has been widely accused of trying to ‘cash in’ on his daughter’s fame, but GMB’s Piers Morgan has insisted Mr Markle wasn’t paid for the appearance.

Meghan and her father’s relationship broke down after Mr Markle was caught staging paparazzi photos for money. He subsequently pulled out of walking his daughter down the aisle, reportedly due to health problems.

Despite apologising for the series of staged snaps, he gave his first interview on Good Morning Britain in June, in which he spoke about missing his daughter’s wedding and conversations with Prince Harry about Trump and Brexit.
He was flown from his home in Mexico to a luxury hotel in California by the TV network where the interview took place.
Mr Markle was reportedly paid £7,500 for his first tell-all interview with Good Morning Britain.
