Three of Surrey's best bars to watch England in the Euros with beer gardens and good food

It’s that time of year again and England has bagged another game fans can look forward to. In the final moments of a hair-raising match against Slovakia, England’s Harry Kane secured the winning goal as fans watched through their fingers.

This now puts England in the quarter-finals, alongside Spain, Germany, Portugal, France, Switzerland, the Netherlands and Turkey. England, managed by Gareth Southgate, will play against Switzerland again on Saturday, July 6 with a 5pm kick off (UK time).

Balmy weather is forecast for Saturday evening, with highs of 19C and sunshine, although there may be some showers earlier in the day.

Surrey Fan Zone - Apps Court Farm

With an electric atmosphere and the Euros on the big screen in a huge open-air venue. The ticketed event is like a festival, with food stalls, benches and bars.

You can find other activities at the Fan Zone like face painting and inflatable football darts. Kingston ’s popular Poor Boys have a food van offering New Orleans dishes with chicken tenders and barbeque dishes.

Queen’s Head, Weybridge

A quaint pub in Weybridge is a great spot to watch the Euros, with two spaces with screens. It’s known for its good food and the traditional atmosphere and setting.

The pub has a cosy indoor spot near the bar or an outdoor screen. The inside venue is away from the restaurant, and has some little nooks for small tables, and larger tables in the middle.

The Grove, Surbiton

A large pub in the centre of Surbiton, The Grove is a great venue, with high ceilings and two floors. It’s got a rating of 4.5 stars on Google, and is a buzzing place to visit on the weekend.

The pub is known for its great cocktails, particularly the espresso martini. For football fans, The Grove has a great spot with a large garden to watch the match.
