Three suspects named after pump-action shotgun found

Three people were named as suspects after police found a pump-action shotgun.

Merseyside Police today confirmed three men had recently been charged with possession of a pump-action shotgun after the weapon was recovered by officers at the back of a property on Parkinson Road, Walton, on the evening of Friday, June 16, 2023.

Mason Hoey, 18, of Cornflower Close, Ainsdale, was charged and bailed to appear in court on July 31. David McDonald, 18, of Jones Farm Road, Liverpool was charged and appeared in court on Tuesday this week.

Alfie Logan, 19, of Rosalind Way, Liverpool, was arrested last night and remanded into custody to appear in court this morning, Friday, July 5.

A Merseyside Police spokeswoman said: "We have charged three men with possession of a pump-action shotgun. The weapon was recovered by officers at the rear of a property on Parkinson Road, Walton, on the evening of Friday 16 June 2023.

"Merseyside Police is committed to removing firearms from our streets. If you have any information on the suspected use, possession or storage of firearms, come forward to @MerPolCC or anonymously via Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111 and we will do the rest."
