Three-vehicle crash as car overturns and driver in Royal Stoke

A driver has been taken to Stoke-on-Trent's main hospital after her car overturned. Pictures from the scene have shown a car on its roof, on Broadfield Road, in Sandyford.

It comes after the Vauxhall Corsa had crashed into a parked van and car. The alarm was raised at 10.28am today.

A Staffordshire Police spokesman said: "We were called by the ambulance service to reports of a collision on Broadfield Road. A Vauxhall Corsa collided with two parked vehicles, a Vauxhall Vivaro van and a Skoda Octavia. The driver of the Corsa, a woman, was taken to hospital."

West Midlands Ambulance Service had already sent one ambulance and a North Staffordshire BASICS doctor to the scene.

An ambulance service spokesman said: "We were called to reports of a car that had overturned on Broadfield Road. On arrival we discovered one patient, a woman, who was the driver of the car. She was treated for minor injuries before being taken to the Royal Stoke University Hospital."

Any witnesses to the collision can call the police on 101.
