This is the moment a thug's attempt to kick a police car didn't quite go according to plan.

Police in Wales released footage of the individual losing control of the scooter and crashing to the ground as he tried to kick the parked car's wing mirror.

The man then slides along the ground before picking up the scooter and making off.

North Wales Police said the man was among a group on bikes and quad bikes who have been plaguing the area of Caia Park in Wrexham.

They have launched an investigation into the incident, which happened on Monday in Churchill Drive.

North Wales Police urged anyone with information to contact them.

Inspector Luke Hughes said: "I have managed to obtain footage of our ‘friends’ playing on their toys on Churchill Drive on Monday – the incident where one tried to kick the wing mirror off a parked police vehicle, which didn’t go as planned, as per the below footage.

"Do you know them, or do you know where they are keeping the bikes? (Or, what’s left of them?? Let me know via DM / webchat or on 101."
