Tia Sharp: Body found at house in South London

A body has been found at a house in South London by police searching for 12-year-old Tia Sharp.

Earlier in the day more than 20 officers arrived at the New Addington estate, near Croydon, south London, and placed a cordon around the property where Tia's grandmother Christine Sharp, 46, lives, according to the Press Association.

Scotland Yard told reporters the area was sealed off as part of pre-planned search.

The BBC reported police are seeking Stuart Hazel, 37, the partner of Christine Sharp. Officers have asked people not to approach him.

Police have asked the public to call 999 if they see Mr Hazel.
