A Chicago-based social media star has come up with a clever hack allowing you to watch TikTok videos on a flight without WiFi a godsend, given that accessing your phone in the skies isn't always possible. Megan Homme recently shared her discovery in a TikTok video showing fellow users how they can enjoy their favourite content even while airborne.

In her tutorial video captioned "POV: you just learned how to watch TikToks on a flight without WiFi."

Megan guides viewers through the complete process. It begins by navigating to your profile page on TikTok and clicking the three lines located in the top-right hand corner, taking you to 'Settings and privacy'.

Seeing the 'Cache and Cellular' section requires a scroll down within the 'Settings and privacy' tab. Here, an 'Offline videos' option presents itself.

This feature allows users to download a range of between 50-200 videos collectively providing approximately 30-120 minutes of viewing material, reports Wales Online.

The cache of videos is conveniently stored in the 'offline' part of your settings, offering easy access during flight. While Megan demonstrates downloading videos using 'Airplane mode', the same process is achievable with either WiFi or mobile data.

Do note, though, that this only allows for the downloading of videos; reading or posting comments won't be possible without an internet connection.

The videos will be updated with fresh content once you're back on WiFi. Megan's video has racked up an impressive 21.7 million views, securing 1.6 million likes and 4,800 comments.

Caffeinatedbaddie responded with, "I need more like 20,000," whereas JedaiiXander commented, "I watch 200 videos in the bathroom before leaving for work."

Dizzle remarked: "That will only last me until the plane finishes boarding."
