'I tried out boutique bakery people are obsessed with on TikTok'

Recently I can't seem to scroll on TikTok without a certain Liverpool bakery appearing on my feed.

Rough Hand Made on the Albert Dock has been branded the "nicest bakery" in the city by many fans on social media. After being influenced by people trying it on TikTok I thought I would try it for myself.

One TikToker said that the venue was "perfect for a coffee and croissant" while another person branded it the "best bakery in Liverpool" and some else said it's "the nicest bakery I’ve ever been to". Pictures captured last week also showed queues out the door.

It also has rave reviews on Google, with one person giving the bakery five stars and saying: "Worthy of its five stars and well worth queuing! We explored the Dock before heading back into town and bought a couple of croissants and velvet hot chocolate (proper dark chocolate sticks melted by hot milk poured on top)."

Another added: "I just discovered this place and to be honest after trying the out-of-this-world pastries I can’t believe how I could live without visiting this place before! I’m obsessed, the croissants are unreal, the best ones I‘ve ever tried definitely."

A third said: "A very busy café for pastries, everything sold out so quick, so get in early if you want to try. Prices were very reasonable and a serve yourself approach."

After seeing it all over my TikTok and reading the reviews, I decided to head down to try it out for myself. You can watch my TikTok video above to see what I bought when I was there, but it is clear why people come from all over to try the delights of Rough Hand Made.
