TikTok video mocks Coventry as city described as beautiful island paradise

The mock TikTok video shows some 'paradise' scenes in Coventry -Credit:bhamupdates on TikTok

A TikTok video that mocks Coventry has had thousands of likes. It opens with a map of the Midlands, saying a 'small in town in Birmingham' with dramatic movie-esque music.

It then zooms into Coventry on the map, before showing a series of picture-postcard images of breathtaking scenery such as a stunning paradise island, mountains and an idyllic tropical beach. The 13 second video, made by bhamupdates, has thousands of likes and shares.

The video also has more than 4,000 comments, most of which are especially tongue in cheek with one poster saying: "Visit Wood End, its breathtaking."

One TikTok user said: "As a regular in Coventry I can confirm that it is more stunning than this in person", while another joked: "I was in the wrong Coventry for years then."

Another added: "Everytime I think of Coventry, I just think Binley Mega Chippy." While another posted: "I must be dreaming" and another said: "That's Nuneaton."

Some leapt to the defence of the city though, saying: "U gotta stop hating' while several remarked: "It's a city."
