TikToker Goes Viral for 'Nightmare Roommate' Story About a Victoria's Secret Model — Why #PoopGate Is Trending
In the video, Taylor Paré claims she found a suitcase full of stolen items, tissues with "poo" and used tampons in her former roommate's room
TikTok influencer Taylor Paré just spilled one of her decade-long secrets on the popular platform — and the story is going viral.
This week, Paré opened up about a "nightmare roommate" from her past, telling her 51K followers in a video that the person, whose identity she keeps anonymous, also happened to be a famous Victoria's Secret model. In the video, which has gone viral with 9.2 million views, Paré unpacks her side of the story including some alleged indiscretions that arose while living in New York City with the undisclosed model — and the internet scandal is now being referred to as "PoopGate."
"When I first moved to New York City I lived with a Victoria's Secret model who had a secret and I kept it for 10 years but let's get into it," Paré, who says she met her former roommate through mutual friends, says at the start of the video.
Paré claims in the video how the "vibes were off" early on with the living arrangement.
She says she'd noticed her roommate often bragging about getting major contracts and meetings with big photographers including Steven Meisel and Naomi Campbell.
"She was also younger than everyone so I thought maybe it was just an insecurity thing," Paré says:
But as Paré tells it, more concerning issues began to surface.
"She'd lie about who she was, where she came from, mutual friends, stories, like things that happened recently and also things that happened in her childhood" Paré claims in the video.
As a result, Paré distanced herself from her roommate, and she says things continued to escalate.
Slowly Paré started to notice her stuff go missing around the apartment including her T-shirts, skincare products, makeup and prescription medication. While at first, she thought she was going crazy, her other roommates confirmed they'd seen similar disappearances.
"One day she came into the apartment after going to some party, it was during fashion week, and it was a huge, huge event and she was wearing the shirt I was wearing two days prior," Paré says. "And I knew it was my shirt because it still had my orange makeup at the top and that wasn't her shade and also it's a really unique shirt."
"I had a glass of wine, so I confront the girl and I say 'nice shirt,'" Paré says recalling how her roommate told her she got it on set for a campaign. "I'm like literally it has my makeup on it, dude. You're not slick."
Paré continues: "She gets dressed and goes to the Harper Bazaar's Icon Party and I have another glass of wine and look at the girls and say 'Girls I know what I'm doing tonight, I'm going through all of her stuff. And that's exactly what I did."
In her search, Paré claims she found a suitcase full of the things that she believes the roommate had stolen from her and others who lived in the apartment. She claims the suitcase also included dirty trash, including used tampons and tissues with fecal matter.
"You'd see like poo on them," Paré says. "It was so foul. I still have the pictures on my phone to this day of the contents of that suitcase."
Paré says the suitcase was a breaking point for the roommates.
"Because of that alone we kicked her out that day," she said. "We still see her around but it's really awkward. Oh, and now she's like super famous and doing really well. And ever since that summer, she's blown up and just makes so much money."

Since posting the video, over 6,000 users have commented asking Paré for more information on who the model might be.
"Can you please have another glass of wine and tell us who it is!!" one person writes. "When people do story times this is the kind of tea I want," another user comments.
But in a follow-up TikTok video, Paré explains that she won't be revealing her former roommate's identity.
She says: "I'm not going to dox the girl online either, that's not what I'm here to do. But I will be here to give clues and such during storytimes, so if that's your thing."
