There's nothing as thrilling as uncovering a real bargain - and one smart shopper has just let us in on how to ensure you're scooping up the best deals whilst shopping at TK Maxx. The retail giant is renowned for offering massive discounts, particularly on designer items.

A TikTok user by the name of Alex Pavlova, who goes by the handle @beautyforeverybody, posted a video unveiling the 'secret codes' keen shoppers need to keep an eye out for while rummaging through TK Maxx. The video has since blown up, drawing in thousands of views, likes and a swarm of comments from delighted fans.

During her video, Alex highlighted the three numbers we should be paying attention to: one, three, and seven. She outlined how by inspecting the price tag, you can determine the genuine worth of your potential purchase.

A prime number at the top signifies that the item was created especially for TK Maxx, whereas a two on the second line implies that this is authentic unsold stock from popular brands.

If you spot a seven, this indicates the item is from a previous season. One top tip Alex had for her followers was to "always look for two and seven" for the top-notch bargains, reports Birmingham Live.

This revelation left countless customers absolutely astounded, with many chiming into the comments section of the now-viral video. One commenter divulged "I work in TK Maxx and didn't know this."

A second individual joked: "NO MOOOOOD!! I work at head office and didn't know this."

Meanwhile, a third enthused shopper added: "Not me dashing over to everything I have with a TK Maxx label to read the barcode," and another gratefully shared: "This is so helpful, thanks!!"

The secret behind Alex's tip was revealed by a former TK Maxx employee who shared the discount codes shoppers should be on the lookout for. Daniel Baker, a former senior merchandiser, spilled his savvy secrets in a 2022 Channel 5 documentary titled 'TK Maxx: How do they do it?', which offers a glimpse behind the usually closed doors of the store.
