Earlier this week, Amazon Prime Video unveiled the first images from the streaming service's upcoming TV adaptation of the Fallout video games. Now, you can actually see footage of Power Armor, the Ghoul, and other denizens of the wasteland. The first trailer for Fallout was unveiled by Prime Video at the show's panel during CCXP in São Paulo, Brazil, on Saturday.

The trailer opens with Lucy (Ella Purnell) emerging from the safety of her Vault... but the post-apocalyptic wasteland is a lot scarier than she had been led to believe. Just look at those huge flies! At least there's a dog capable of protecting her from overgrown bugs, as well as other dangers. You can see the dog munching on a human hand both in the trailer and in the character poster below.

"If you insist on staying, then you will have to adapt," Michael Emerson's character tells her.

Lucy isn't the only person trying to make sense of life in the wasteland. The Fallout trailer also shows us Maximus (Aaron Moten) and the Brotherhood of Steel, trying to bring order to this chaos one suit of Power Armor at a time. We also glimpse The Ghoul (Walton Goggins) shooting down an enemy like a Wild West gunslinger, as well as a brief shot of his pre-mutation face. Based on the trailer's final scene, it seems that Fallout will contain at least some flashback sequences showing the nuclear warfare that mutated the world this way.

Goggins, Moten, and Purnell presented the trailer at the CCXP panel, alongside co-showrunner Graham Wagner and director Jonathan Nolan (Westworld).

Fallout will premiere April 12, 2024, on Prime Video. Watch the trailer above, and check out new character posters below.
