The first of this year’s All-Ireland SFC quarter-finals sees Armagh take on Roscommon in what could well be the most keenly-contested of this weekend’s four games.

The Orchard County are seeking to reach the last four of the Championship for the first time since 2005 and have suffered back-to-back quarter-final defeats to Galway and Monaghan on penalties.

Roscommon had to come through the preliminary quarter-finals after finishing third in Group Two thanks to a 3-20 to 1-20 win over Cavan in round three.

However, Davy Burke’s men pulled off one of the upsets of the All-Ireland SFC so far by defeating Tyrone by two-points in Omagh last weekend.

The Rossies haven’t reached the All-Ireland SFC semi-finals since 1991, but they did beat Armagh in the League last year and won the last Championship meeting between the sides by six points in the Qualifiers back in 2018.
