Timelapse Captures Snowy Drive Through California's Santa Cruz Mountains

A “massive” coast-to-coast winter storm brought snow to Southern California on Thursday, February 23, as the National Weather Service (NWS) warned the area to prepare for blizzard conditions and feet of snow accumulation in the coming days.

Dustin Mulvaney said this footage was taken in Patchen Pass, a mountain pass through the Santa Cruz Mountains that connects the Santa Clara Valley to the Pacific coast. The area was under a winter weather advisory, a wind advisory, a winter storm warning, and a freeze warning into Friday, according to the NWS. Credit: Dustin Mulvaney via Storyful
