Timelapse Shows Lava Flow as Volcanic Activity Resumes on Kilauea

Hawaii’s Kilauea volcano began erupting again on the afternoon of Thursday, January 5, according to the US Geological Survey (USGS).

Timelapse footage collected by Dane duPont via the USGS shows lava flow and smoke from the eruption site on Thursday.
