Tina Knowles Reveals the Name Beyoncé and Solange's Kids Call Her: 'Love Them to Death'

Knowles has four grandkids — Beyoncé's three kids and Solange's son

Tina Knowles is one proud grandmother.

On Monday, May 20, Knowles joined Hoda Kotb and Jenna Bush Hager on Today with Hoda & Jenna and chatted about how much she loves being a grandmother. Knowles has four grandkids — Beyoncé's daughter Blue Ivy, 12, and her twins Rumi and Sir, 6, as well as Solange's son Daniel, 19.

"It’s the best. With grandkids you don’t have the pressure of taking responsibility for how they get to turn out, so you get to just indulge them and let them have noisy toys that drive their parents crazy," Knowles jokes. "It’s just the best. They are the best. My grandkids are all super creative and I just love them to death."

"What do they call you?" Kotb asks.

"They call me grandma," Knowles responds.

"Do you see the kids, some of the kids are going down the musical route? Is that something some of you are watching?" Kotb asks.

"We’re watching but you know, they still have a lot of time. They’re all super great artists, like visual artists, and very smart," the proud grandma responds. "We don’t know what’s gonna happen. Whatever they want to do, we support that."

While attending the Kentucky Derby earlier this month, Knowles spoke with E! News about her grandkids Sir and Rumi, sharing that she believes the twins have already found their true passions.

"Rumi is amazing — an amazing artist, painter and creator," Knowles told the outlet. "How could they be anything else growing up in that environment? All we talk about is creativity and fashion."

Although she said Sir is more reserved than his sisters Rumi and Blue Ivy, Knowles described him as "very, very smart."

"Sir is very quiet," she added, noting that he "does all of the numbers stuff, so he's not into fashion as much."
