Antonia Bance has won the Tipton and Wednesbury seat in the 2024 General Election for Labour with 11,755 votes. They won with a majority of more than 3,000.

The Conservative Party just came second with 8,370 votes. It was one of a rising tide of West Midlands constuencies switching from the Tories to Labour as the Red Wall crumbles.

Formerly named West Bromwich West, the Conservatives won here in 2019. The seat, now named Tipton and Wednesbury, saw Shaun Bailey becoming the first Conservative MPs in history to be elected in West Bromwich.

A near 12 per cent swing from Labour to Tory saw Mr Bailey win with 17,419 votes – just over half of the vote and 3,799 votes ahead of Labour. Boundary changes have seen the name of this constituency changed.

Turnout was 43.17%. This is significantly lower than in 2019 when turnout was 51.7%.
