Toby Carvery in Brockworth reopens its doors to customers after major revamp

A Toby Carvery based near Gloucester has officially reopened with a new remodeling inside. Based at Brockworth just off the A46, the 'Home of the Roast' chain are delighted to welcome back customers to the venue.

The British carvery chain brand, owned and operated by Mitchells & Butlers, have scheduled many of the restaurants for remodeling and after a little delay due to the pandemic, Brockworth has finally made the cut to have a new design indoors. The building work has taken four months and around £500,000 has been spent to invest in Toby Carvery here.

Inside there are tables with the words Brockworth inscribed on them to give the place an identity, a fresh bar, some Toby Jugs, a vast amount of tables, a function room that can be used for events and important occasions, and of course the kitchen and carvery area with the meat, self-service vegetables, gravy and sauces.

"Proud" is the one word general manager Ben Beard would describe this new refurb. Working for the company now for 15 years, as a Gloucester resident Ben says the work has been "phenomenal and the finishing touches have blown me away. It is above a Toby Carvery and it is a homely feel for customers. The hospitality of the staff shines through.

Ben adds: "Toby is a unique brand where you have got the community side of what we do well. There is investment in what we're doing here and for Brockworth and the wider community we really want to give back and deliver people something special. The roast is in the British culture and it's always been part of family tradition for people getting around the table."

A word must also go to Mark Woodfin as Kitchen Team Leader, Ben adds because Mark has been with the company for 35 years and a major part of the furniture here at Brockworth. "Mark is a solid performer and he's a really good chef. A long-standing team member, we hope people enjoy what Mark produces here at Toby."

Offering a range of vegetarian and vegan dishes, Toby Carvery has an all-you-can-eat breakfast and a children’s menu, as well as a thirst-quenching range of beers, ciders, wines, spirits and hot drinks to accompany meals. The opening times at Brockworth are seven days a week 8am to 10pm.
