Wound-up Todd Cantwell has branded a doubter on social media a "weapon" after the Rangers star couldn't resist hitting back amid cynicism over his "best is coming" vow.

The rejuvenated Rangers star – linked with a move away this summer – posted a reel to Instagram showing off his skills and pledging to deliver under Philippe Clement next season. But was left miffed by one reply and responded directly to a supporter who wants less talking from the Englishman and more action on the pitch. The user qinalstr, asked: "Perform on the pitch instead of Instagram, then?"

But a fired-up Cantwell, in the comments to the original post, wasn't having it, and was quick to respond. He said: "Clips are from me playing you weapon." Cantwell attached a bell emoji as other supporters were split on whether or not the midfielder – a month removed from his infamous 'shushburger' – should be steaming into social media vows and subsequent arguments.
