Tom Hardy may take on tough guy roles – but he showed off his softer side with a recent trip to Disneyland.

The Taboo actor, 39, teamed up with Mickey Mouse as he joined a host of famous faces at Paris’ iconic theme park for the launch of the new Star Wars: Season Of The Force.

Hardy was pictured wearing mouse ears as he joined Mickey for a picture opportunity before posing alongside two Stormtroopers.

Scarlett Moffatt, Olly Murs and Warwick Davis were also in attendance.

Hardy was all smiles as he posed with the characters despite his latest venture Taboo, which he co-wrote with his dad Chips Hardy, making a reported £2 million loss.

According to The Sun the BBC drama was expected to make £10.4 million but only pulled in £8.4 million.

A source told the publication: “These new figures will make stark reading for Tom.

“No matter who you are or how much money you’re worth, £2million is a lot of money to simply throw away.”

Set in 1814, the eight-part drama produced by Ridley Scott, follows James Keziah Delaney (Hardy) as he returns home to London from Africa to inherit what is left of his father’s shipping empire - but he is faced with avoiding his own death sentence.

Hardy recently revealed that he wanted to strip off full frontal for the role, but was told to cover himself with a loin cloth.

Speaking to the BBC he said: “You’re lucky there was a loin cloth because I didn’t want one.

“It’s not a period drama until someone gets naked and covers themselves in blood. At least you’re showing willing.

“I was in Tilbury, in the moat, in the docks, with nothing on. We were trying to eke out drama from any opportunity and none of that makes the cut.”
