Tom Hiddleston addresses theory that Loki can bring back Iron Man
Loki spoilers follow.
Loki star Tom Hiddleston has addressed an increasingly popular fan theory suggesting that the God of Mischief could bring back past characters from the dead.
Season two of Loki concluded with Loki taking his place at the centre of time and ensuring the safety of the various time branches, meaning he now has ultimate power over all timelines as he protects them.
During an appearance on The Tonight Show, host Jimmy Fallon asked Hiddleston: could Loki, with his new power and position, bring back past characters like Iron Man from the dead?

"This guy. This is investigative journalism right here. I mean, time slipping, technically, gives Loki some interesting moves he can make," Hiddleston said.
"I suppose, yeah, he can move from past, present, future. I know that I can time slip, I don’t know that other characters can time slip. Speaking for myself, Loki’s died a few times."
"He’s come back, I’m still here so I don’t know that death is necessarily… Death is up for grabs as an existential question. That’s all I can give you."

Loki has been a vital part of phase 5 of the MCU, although head writer Eric Martin suggested that this second season of the Disney+ show is the conclusion of Loki's story.
"We approached this as like two halves of a book," he commented. "Season one, first half. Season two, we close the book on Loki and the TVA. Where it goes beyond that, I don't know. I just wanted to tell a full and complete story across those two seasons."
Loki season 2 is streaming on Disney+.
