Tom Jones To Return To The Voice UK When It Moves To ITV?

It was quite the shock when Sir Tom Jones was axed from The Voice UK after the last series.

But if new reports are to be believed, Sir Tom’s time on the show hasn’t actually totally come to an end.

Hurrah!

In fact, it’s rumoured that he could return to The Voice when it moves over to ITV in 2017, with the legend allegedly agreeing to a pay cut.

It’s believed that Sir Tom contacted the programme’s owners, Talpa, to directly offer his services as a judge when he heard that the show was changing channels.

A source has told The Mirror: “The people at ITV are aware there were reasons why the BBC wanted him out, but he’s a big name and they are keen to get him back – especially if it’s on far less money.”

It’s claimed that Sir Tom was earning £500,000 on the BBC show, but could now receive £150,000.

Ricky Wilson has already announcing that he won’t be staying on the show when it moves channels, while it’s not clear what will.i.am, Boy George and Paloma Faith will do.

It’s also reported that The Voice are keen to get Rita Ora back as a coach, with an insider telling The Daily Star: “Rita is one of the hottest properties in entertainment so it is no surprise The Voice producers want her back.

“They were devastated when she moved to X Factor last year. But now it looks like she won’t be doing the next series, it means they’ve got a chance of poaching her.”
