Bulut reveals Davies plan

Cardiff City boss Erol Bulut says Isaak Davies will be "very active" for the Bluebirds this season after excelling out on loan last term.

Welshman Davies spent the 2023/24 campaign in Belgium with KV Kortrijk and bagged 12 goals to keep the side in the top flight.

It was an experience which certainly benefitted the young attacker, who has now returned to Cardiff pre-season training at the Vale.

The Bluebirds are in action on Wednesday night with Davies likely to be involved in some capacity, and Bulut has revealed he will play a more active role with the club this term.

He said: "Now we have a big squad. With the youngsters and the loan players coming back.

"We'll have 45 minutes of two teams, the first game is important for everyone. The players who went for loan, they will now show themselves in the friendly matches, to continue with us or some players again they will maybe go for loan to improve like last season.

"Isaak Davies did a great job, scoring 13 or 14 goals and this season he will be very active for us for Cardiff City. I hope that he shows good performances in the friendly matches then also in the league matches."

Blades make Moore 'key target'

The Star in Sheffield are reporting Kieffer Moore is a "key transfer target" for Sheffield United this summer.

The Blades have tracked Moore for some time, and were keen on signing him last season when they were a Premier League outfit They have now identified the Wales striker as the man who could help them back into the top flight at the first time of asking following their relegation to the Championship.

Former United boss Paul Heckingbottom was keen on Moore but had to shift his gaze away from the striker department when he suffered a series of injuries at left-back.

Now new manager Chris Wilder is ready to resurrect interest in the former Cardiff man, who spent the second half of last season on loan with Ipswich Town.

The Bluebirds retain an interest in the Bournemouth striker, who is set to leave the south coast club this summer.

Bellamy gets Wales job

Cardiff legend Craig Bellamy has been appointed Wales' new manager.

The former Bluebirds striker has left his post with Burnley to take the reins with his country - an opportunity he says was the proudest of his career.

On his appointment, Bellamy said: “It’s an incredible honour for me to be given the opportunity to lead my country and it’s the proudest moment of my career. It was always my ultimate dream to become the Cymru head coach and I am ready for the challenge.

“I will give my full commitment to develop this team and I am passionate to bring continued success into Welsh football. I can’t wait to get started with our Nations League games in September.”
