Here's your round-up of all the latest Swansea City news for Saturday, June 29

Swans 'up Eom bid'

Reports in the Korean press claim Swansea City have upped their bid for Gwangju FC winger Eom Ji-sung.

It's understood the 22-year-old has emerged as a key transfer target for the Swans this summer, and it had been previously claimed the club have already launched a bid for his services in the region of $1m, plus add-ons.

That valuation clearly hasn't aligned with that of the K-League outfit, who despite appearing ready to sanction a sale are holding out for a better fee.

Now, according to Korean journalist Seo Ho-Jeong (via English K-League expert Ross Davies), the Swans have now increased their offer to $1.2m, an amount that could now see the deal completed.

In a statement, a spokesperson for the Korean side told MoneyS on Friday: "We are well aware of Eom Ji-sung's strong will to advance overseas. The club also has no intention of blocking Eom Ji-sung's overseas advancement for the player's future."

Pato drops contract hint

Jamie Paterson has sent Swansea City fans into a frenzy on social media after dropping a possible hint over his future.

The forward is currently pondering a new contract with the club, believed to be a 12-month extension, with his current deal up at the beginning of next week.

Swansea are keen on keeping the 32-year-old, with Luke Williams placing great value in his level of experience at Championship level.

However, at the time of writing, there hasn't yet been a resolution, with the club seemingly now in danger of losing him for free later this summer.

Those hoping for him to stay in south Wales might well have been comforted by his social media activity, though.

Taking to his official Instagram page on Friday, Paterson posted a picture of him in action for the Swans, with the caption 'Not long now till the madness starts again'.

Clearly he feels ready for the new season. Whether he'll be doing so in a Swansea shirt remains to be seen.

Lowe set for Owls medical

Jamal Lowe is reportedly set to complete a move to Sheffield Wednesday.

The 29-year-old is a free agent after running down his contact at Bournemouth, and spent the season on loan at Swansea City.

There had been some suggestion that the Swans might be interested in tying down the Jamaica international to a permanent contract this summer, although it appears they were unable to meet the forward's wage demands.

He now looks set to join the Owls, with The Star claiming he could be announced as a Sheffield Wednesday player imminently.

Reports in south Yorkshire also claim Lowe's been spotted near Hillsborough ahead of a possible medical.
