Thrifty shoppers can grab themselves a bargain when the “Too Good to Throw” indoor market returns to Wishaw.

There will be thousands of pre-loved and nearly new items for sale at the market which has previously proved very popular with bargain hunters.

Event organiser Leeann Gillespie is trialling the market as a monthly offering at Wishaw Sports Centre over the summer months, with the first taking place on Saturday, May 25.

It will also run on the following dates, which are all Saturdays; June 29, July 27, and August 31.

These dates replace those previously advertised for markets that were meant to take place at Ravenscraig Regional Sports Facility.

You can pick up inflation-bursting bargains all under one roof including, clothing, baby essentials, footwear, homeware, vintage, and designer wear.

Or grab toys, dolls, games, books, antiques, jewellery and soft furnishings.

Leeann is delighted to be bringing the market back to Wishaw.

She said: “The first date is Saturday, May 25 from 10.30am to 1.30pm. We’re opening and closing earlier on this date because of the Scottish Cup Final. Then we’ll be holding monthly markets in June, July and August which will all be from 11am to 2pm.

“If the demand for it is high enough then we will roll it out to become a regular monthly market, which I think will be great for the Wishaw and surrounding areas community.”

So, if your house bursting at the seams with clothes or other items that you no longer have a use for, but are too good to throw out then you could turn your “stash into cash”.

For those looking to sell on the day, stalls cost £25.

For those looking for a bargain, admission is £1.50 with entry for under-16s free.
