Top Gear has revealed its first full trailer for Freddie Flintoff and Paddy McGuinness' debut series.

The new 60-second clip promises some Wacky Races-style chaos as the cricket legend, new Celebrity Juice team captain and returning co-host Chris Harris partake in some far-from-safe motorised action.

From the mountains of Ethiopia to the beaches of Wales, the boys are seen pushing a whole new range of vehicles to their limits, including a 1995 Daimler hearse – known as The Undertaker – which Freddie somehow manages to tip over.

The trailer also gives a sneak peek of the trio in the Borneo jungles, some electric shock driving, the Stig's 'family' and Icelandic vertical cliff scaling.

This will be the first series since 2016 without Friends legend Matt LeBlanc, who stepped down from the BBC Two show due to the demands filming was making on his family life.

With Freddie and Paddy coming in, this is the biggest shake-up since the days of Jeremy Clarkson, Richard Hammond and James May hot-footing it to Amazon Prime for The Grand Tour after Clarkson’s infamous incident involving a colleague.

Chris Harris is the only returning presenter from the last series, with his former co-host Rory Reid now fronting web-only spin-off Extra Gear.

The show has teased that Top Gear will be returning to BBC Two "sooner than you think".
