Tory Lanez's wife Raina files for divorce after less than a year of marriage

Tory Lanez's wife Raina has filed for divorce after less than a year of marriage.

Raina Chassagne has filed for divorce from the disgraced rapper less than 12 months after they tied the knot.

According to court documents obtained by People on Monday, the pair tied the knot on 25 June 2023. The date of separation is listed as 1 June 2024.

The former couple have a seven-year-old son, Kai'lon, of whom Chassagne is seeking legal and physical custody.

Chassagne cites irreconcilable differences as the reason for the split.

In her filing, Chassagne does not ask for spousal support, reserving it for future determination at the court's discretion.

The filing comes as Lanez, real name Daystar Peterson, is serving a 10-year prison sentence for shooting rapper Megan Thee Stallion in both feet after a party at Kylie Jenner's Los Angeles home in July 2020.

The incident reportedly happened shortly after Lanez, Megan and her former assistant Kelsey Harris got into an argument.

In a victim impact statement read by Deputy District Attorney Kathy Ta during Lanez's sentencing in August, Megan said, "He not only shot me. He made a mockery of my trauma.

"Since I was viciously shot by the defendant, I have not experienced a single day of peace. Slowly but surely, I'm healing and coming back, but I will never be the same."

Following the shooting, doctors found bullet fragments in the Grammy winner's feet, which required surgery to remove.
