Traffic queues on M62 as drivers 'slow down to look at crash'

Part of the M62 was partially blocked on Tuesday following a crash.

The incident took place on the M62 Westbound at junction 22 at around 7.10am.

It involved two vans and a car, police confirmed.

No injuries were reported.

The M62 Westbound was affected by traffic queues and drivers reportedly slowing down to look at the scene of the incident.

Traffic alerts reported: "Partially blocked and queueing traffic due to crash and people slowing to look at crash on M62 Westbound from J23 A640 New Hey Road (Huddersfield) to J22 A672 (Rishworth Moor)."

A spokesperson for West Yorkshire Police said: "Police were called to the M62 westbound at junction 22 at about 7.10am to a report of a collision involving two vans and a car.

"No injuries were reported and the scene was cleared by 7.49am."
