A driver has been offered an out-of-court resolution after allegedly “driving towards” a traffic warden who gave him a parking ticket.

The incident reportedly occurred during a crackdown on “unsafe parking” in Broadgreen, by the Swindon Central South policing team and Swindon Borough Council.

Enforcement officers were responding to residents’ ongoing complaints about obstructed highways and unsafe parking in the area and issued a spate of parking tickets.

After being slapped with a parking ticket, one male allegedly drove towards an enforcement officer and will now face an out-of-court resolution.

Another vehicle was impounded because the owner had previously been issued warnings about obstructing the highway.

Ten other vehicles were slapped with warnings for obstruction while a total of 16 parking tickets were issued.

A fixed penalty notice was also handed out to one vehicle owner for parking on zig-zagged lines.
