Tragedy as man dies following horror jet-ski crash off Scottish coast

A man has tragically died in hospital after he was injured in an incident involving two jet-skis off the coast of Scotland.

The collision happened just off the coast of Dumfries and Galloway, near to Gatehouse of Fleet. Emergency services raced to the scene after police received a call at around 5.35pm on Saturday, May 11.

A 42-year-old was rushed to hospital by air ambulance for treatment for serious injuries.

However, it has been reported by the Record that he has sadly died. His next of kin are aware.

Police have said that nobody else was injured in the incident.

Detective Inspector Graeme Robertson said: “My thoughts are with the man’s family and everyone affected by this tragic incident. “Our enquiries to establish what led to this collision are ongoing and at an early stage.

“I would urge anyone with information regarding what happened, or if they were present and saw anything to come forward.
