Travel Disruption Continues at Dubai Airport After Record Rain

Dubai International Airport advised passengers not to come to the airport “unless absolutely necessary” on April 17, as severe travel disruption continued in the wake of the UAE’s worst rain in decades.

“We are working hard to recover operations as quickly as possible in very challenging conditions,” the airport, which is the world’s second busiest, wrote on X.

Meanwhile, the carrier Emirates said it had suspended all check-ins for passengers departing from the airport until midnight on April 17-18.
