Travis Kelce Says He’s Not Trying to Hide His Relationship with Taylor Swift: ‘That’s My Girl — I’m Proud'

“You want to keep things private, but at the same time I’m not here to hide anything,” the NFL star said

Travis Kelce isn’t afraid to say he’s in a love story with Taylor Swift!

On the latest episode of Barstool Sports' Bussin' With The Boys podcast released on Tuesday, June 25, the Kansas City Chiefs tight end, 34, opened up about balancing the private and public sides of his relationship with the “Fortnight” singer, 34.

“You want to keep things private, but at the same time I’m not here to hide anything,” Kelce said. “That’s my girl. You know what I mean? That’s my lady. So it’s like, I’m proud of that.”

“So it’s not like I’m sitting here trying to juggle how to keep this under wraps,” he added. “You just don’t want to let everybody into your personal life and be able to comment on it knowing that everything she does is getting a headline.”

However, he admitted that while it has been “cool” to see Swifties turn into NFL and Chief’s fans, some of the attention can be “crazy," with some fans even “pulling up” to his house in order to capture a glimpse into his private life with the Grammy winner.

“I’ve had fun with just about every aspect of it, it’s just when you’re at home, you want privacy, and you just don’t always get that,” the professional footballer shared.

Elsewhere in the interview, the NFL player revealed that he began to “really fall” for the singer when he saw how she handled attending his team’s games and the Chiefs winning the 2024 Super Bowl.

"She's very self-aware. And I think that's why I really started to really fall for her, just [seeing] how genuine she is around friends [and] family,” he admitted. “It can get crazy for somebody with that much attention, and she just keeps it so chill and so cool."

“I can admire it for sure,” he added.

Kelce said Swift particularly “won” him “over” when she publicly attended her first Chiefs game against the Chicago Bears on Sept. 24, 2023. He went on to explain how the "Karma" singer had wanted to "be around family and friends, and experience this with everybody,” and opted to just walk through the front door of the stadium instead.

The podcast release comes after the sports star joined Swift on stage during the London stop of her Eras Tour over the weekend. He surprised fans by joining Swift for her "I Can Do It With a Broken Heart" outfit change — a segment added in following the release of her latest studio album, The Tortured Poets Department, on April 19.

The athlete, dressed up in a tuxedo and top hat, stepped in for the dancer who usually carries Swift on stage during the segment. He acted alongside her other dancers as he pretended to touch-up her makeup before heading off the stage.

The pair then celebrated Kelce's big appearance after the concert at London hotspot Chiltern Firehouse, where they were snapped wearing similar style crochet outfits. They stayed at the popular venue until around 4 a.m. local time.

Swift is next scheduled to perform in Dublin, Ireland from June 28-30.
