Trees Damaged by Powerful Storms in Western Tennessee
Tornado-warned storms caused damage to parts of western Tennessee on Friday evening, March 31, footage shows.
Michael B said he filmed this footage in Brighton, northeast of Memphis, on Friday evening. Nearby Covington also bore signs of tornado damage, according to reports. Credit: @midsouth_wx via Storyful

- All right. Here we are, just south of Covington, Tennessee, between Atoka and Covington, I guess relatively close to Brighton. Power lines are down. There's a ton of damage over there. You can see houses and trees are destroyed. It looks like a bomb went off over there.
[WINDS GUSTING]
Houses and trees-- houses not so much destroyed, but there's apparent roof damage. I can see siding and stuff have been ripped off. Windows are broken, it looks like. I can see fire alarms going off. Is that one of these buildings?
[EMERGENCY VEHICLE SIRENS APPROACHING]
I hear emergency crews coming up. Yeah, power lines are all the way down across the road right here. This is where that tornado came across.
[SIRENS GETTING LOUDER]
I don't know how well y'all can see that over there.
