TRNSMT have banned single use vapes as organisers have warned the public about new rules ahead of the festival.

The event, which is due to be hosted between Friday, July 12 and Sunday, July 14 at Glasgow Green, will see items such as single use plastic vapes and flags banned as well as enhanced security measures. Organisers have warned those planning to attend to check what is allowed or face refused entry or even arrest.

Festival goers will be prohibited from taking in rucksacks bigger than A4 paper, any glass (including perfume), metal or hard plastic bottles and any food and drink. Disposable vapes, processional cameras, selfie sticks, umbrellas, chairs, frisbees/boomerangs and hi-vis tabards or jackets are also on the banned list.

Anyone attempting to bring in drugs, flares, smoke canisters and weapons will also be subject to arrest by Police Scotland. Sniffer dogs and CCTV will also be active at the entrance to the festival and party-goers will be subject to bag searches and ticket checks.

Those found with banned items may be refused entry or ejected. Those planning to attend should also bring valid ID and no under 16s will be admitted to the event.

Valid ID's are considered UK or International Full or Provisional Driving Licence, UK or International Passport or National Proof of Age Standards Scheme card with the PASS hologram (e.g. Young Scot, CitizenCard, My ID Card).

No photocopies or pictures of the ID's will be accepted and they must resemble the person who is trying to use them. Those who don't will be subject to extra checks or refusal to enter or for any alcohol purchase.

Organisers have also warned that the festival is cashless and only credit or debit payments will be accepted.
