Eminem has been hailed a “true legend" by fans as he celebrated 10 years of sobriety on social media.

The American rapper, real name Marshall Bruce Mathers III, uploaded an image to Instagram to commemorate the occasion.

The picture showed Mathers holding up his Alcoholics Anonymous sobriety coin, which are awarded at different points during a member's recovery.

The token had the Roman numeral X in the centre of a triangle, signifying 10 years.
