Trump formally nominates U.S. CFPB director

WASHINGTON (Reuters) - President Donald Trump formally nominated Kathleen Kraninger as Director of the U.S. Consumer Financial Protection Bureau on Monday, according to a White House statement.

Kraninger will take the reins from Office of Management and Budget Director Mick Mulvaney, who has also acted as the CFPB's interim director since the post became vacant late last year.
