The people of Truro and Falmouth in Cornwall have spoken and chosen their next MP in an election that is set to see a change of government in the UK. The seat has been held by Conservative Cherilyn Mackrory since 2019, when she succeeded after fellow Tory Sarah Newton.

Mrs Newton had served since the seat was created after boundary changes for the 2010 general election, before which Matthew Taylor, now Lord Taylor of Goss Moor, was the Liberal Democrat MP since 1987.
