Turkeys Enjoy Indiana Snowfall Before Thanksgiving

A pair of downy-white turkeys enjoyed the snowfall in northern Indiana on Thursday, November 17, as several inches of snow were reported in the area.

Footage captured by Twitter user @FlockRaiser shows the turkeys – named Thanksgiving and Lloyd Christmas – in Elkhart on Thursday morning, they said.

“We had a big snow storm last night, and it was their first time seeing snow!” they told Storyful, and said the turkeys were born in April and would soon be “Thanksgiving dinners” this year.

According to the National Weather Service, lake-effect snow returned to the area on Thursday afternoon and cold temperatures would continue into Friday. Credit: @FlockRaiser via Storyful
