The Real Full Monty: Jingle Balls

9pm, ITV1

If you can make it past a closeup of Paul Burrell’s tattooed bottom within the opening minute (“If Diana was here, she’d get her binoculars out!”), this two-parter about a celebrity strip show is a surprisingly uplifting tearjerker – everyone involved has a personal link to cancer. Ben Cohen, Gemma Collins, Julia Bradbury and Sherrie Hewson are also part of the lineup. Hollie Richardson

Between the Covers

7pm, BBC Two

It’s not every day that a Spice Girl turns up to a book club. Geri Halliwell-Horner, who has just penned her own children’s novel, joins actor Bill Paterson, Strictly star Ellie Taylor and comedian Miles Jupp to dissect books including Redhead By the Side of the Road by Anne Tyler. HR

Jamie’s Christmas Shortcuts

8pm, Channel 4

Promising the easiest way to maximum flavour, Jamie Oliver walks us through the classic Christmas dinner: a juicy turkey, hearty mulled-wine gravy and one batch of scrumptious stuffing that can be split two ways – for veggies and meat-eaters. HR

Winter on the Farm

8pm, Channel 5

Rudolph turned his red nose into a festive tradition, but Roger the Reindeer’s reddish antler growth will require a vet’s attention. That’s just one of many urgent tasks on Cannon Hall farm in the run-up to Christmas. Presenter Helen Skelton, meanwhile, is far from the chaos on a peaceful Lake District hike. Ellen E Jones

Julius Caesar: The Making of a Dictator

9pm, BBC Two

The final part of this documentary-drama looks at how Caesar took power. We start with the would-be tyrant brokering a peace agreement to a bloody civil war, only to end up, two years later, with a back full of pointy weapons. Never mind the historian talking heads, the highlight is the actor playing JC in the recreations – a true master of “smell the fart” acting. Alexi Duggins

Seeds of Deceit: The Sperm Donor Doctor

10pm, BBC Four

The disturbing documentary series about Dr Jan Karbaat – a fertility doctor who secretly impregnated women with his own sperm – concludes with a look at other people complicit in his practices. “I supplied him with quantity and quality,” says his favourite sperm donor, who speaks frankly, along with the children he fathered.
