Yahoo News TVLine Items: John Stamos Joins UnPrisoned, Netflix’s Minecraft Series and More
John Stamos isn’t mincing words on UnPrisoned.
The Fuller House and Big Shot star will recur during Season 2 of the Hulu series as Murphy, “a best-selling author and self-proclaimed ‘family radical healing coach,'” reads the official character description. “Murphy is a half-guru/half-reality star, cut to the chase type therapist who believes in telling people straight up what’s wrong with them.”

Stamos joins previously announced guest stars Oliver Hudson (The Cleaning Lady), Jamie Chung (The Gifted) and Brandee Evans (P-Valley).
Starring Kerry Washington and Delroy Lindo, UnPrisoned Season 2 premieres with all eight episodes on Wednesday, July 17.

* A CG-animated Minecraft series in development at Netflix, featuring “an original story with new characters, showing the world of [the video game] in a new light,” the streamer tells our sister site Variety.
* Prime Video has picked up the animated series Kevin, written by Aubrey Plaza and Joe Wengert, who will executive-produce alongside Dan Murphy. The comedy follows “a life-long housecat who decides that he doesn’t want to live with people anymore,” per the official synopsis. “Loosely inspired by a real break-up and the cat caught in the middle, Kevin dares to ask himself, ‘Is there a world where I don’t do the owner thing and am just… single for the rest of my life?'”
* Netflix has ordered the adult animated comedy The Undervale, created by Matt Roller (Archer, Rick & Morty) and executive-produced by Chris McKenna (Spider-Man: No Way Home, Spider-Man: Far From Home), Dan Harmon (Rick & Morty, Community), Steve Levy (Rick & Morty, Community) and Roller. In the series, “a single mother of two struggles to run a haunted hotel with the help of her estranged brother, who is now one of the ghosts and thinks the other ghosts have some pretty good ideas.”
* Prime Video’s upcoming YA series We Were Liars has cast Emily Alyn Lind (Max’s Gossip Girl), Shubham Maheshwari, Esther MacGregor (High School) and Joseph Zada as the titular liars.
* Masterpiece on PBS has released a trailer for Moonflower Murders, which takes place after the events of Magpie Murders and stars Lesley Manville and Tim McMullan. The series premieres Sunday, Sept. 15 at 9/8c:
