Two anti-abortion candidates are standing for election in Norfolk in a bid to promote reformed laws and policy.

Elizabeth Davey in Norwich South and Clare Roullier in Great Yarmouth are independent candidates and members of the 'vote life' collective - which campaigns to make abortion a key election issue.

The group has candidates in constituencies across the country who seek to "advocate for pro-life laws and policy" and stand against mainstream parties which support abortion.

Clive Lewis, who has held the Norwich South seat for Labour since 2015, and Brandon Lewis, who was Tory MP for Great Yarmouth from 2010, have both voted in favour of reducing obstacles to abortion access in parliament.

People living in both constituencies have received leaflets which urge them to 'vote life' in opposition to parties which support abortion.

The campaign was launched by Christian Hacking, who is a prominent protester outside London abortion clinics.

The candidates in Norwich South are the Lib Dem's Sean Bennett, Reform UK's Graham Burton, the Party of Women's Linda Law, the Green's Jamie Osborn, Labour's Clive Lewis, the Conservative's David Thomas and independent candidate Elizabeth Davey.

The candidates in Great Yarmouth are Catherine Blaiklock for the English Democrats, the Lib Dem's Fionna Tod, the Green's Trevor Rawson, Reform UK's Rupert Lowe, Labour's Keir Cozens and the Conservative's James Clark, as well as independent candidates Paul Brown and Clare Roullier.
