Two brothers open new carpet and flooring store 'to put a smile on people's faces'

Two brothers will be opening a new store for their carpet and flooring business this month.

Sadaq Khan and his brother Hawaar, from Accrington, aim to open their business, Mobile Carpets and Flooring Services, on April 15. The shop, which is based in Accrington on Blackburn Road, offers a range of materials for customers to choose from including vinyl flooring, carpets, laminate flooring and artificial grass.

Sadaq, who attended Rhyddings school, said: “I feel excited to get the doors open and it will be a good addition to the area. We have been running mobile since September last year so customers are excited to see the showroom.

“The other shops in the area are like unit types, but we are a showroom type. I want to provide a good service and put a smile on people’s faces as well as transform their homes.”

The flooring industry runs in their family with their father, Naveed, having more than 25 years of experience running Carpet Up in Blackburn and there is also a branch in Lytham St Annes. Sadaq, 24, and Hawaar, 23, started helping their father in the stores since the ages of 14 and 15, from assisting fitters to cutting carpets.

Hawaar took his flooring education further, securing an apprenticeship from F.I.T.A., the leading association in the flooring industry. He achieved many certificates and became a fully qualified flooring installer by the age of 20.

Sadaq graduated from University Centre at Blackburn College with a law degree but rekindled his passion for flooring. Special offers will be available throughout the week of the launch. A room visualiser is in the pipeline.
