Two cars torched on Scots street as cops launch probe

Cops have launched a probe after two cars were delberately set on fire in the early hours of yesterday morning.

Emergency crews were alerted to the incident in Melville Close, Glenrothes, on Saturday, June 29, at around 4:45am.

Officers confirmed they are treating the incident as 'wilful' and say enquiries remain ongoing.

An images from the scene shows two vehicles that have been badly burnt, with the windows on each blown out.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Around 4.45am on Saturday, 29 June, 2024, police were called to a report of two cars on fire in Melville Close, Glenrothes.

“Emergency services attended and the vehicles were found to be extensively damaged.

“The incident is being treated as wilful and enquiries are ongoing.”
