Two men to appear in court over Hackney shootings

Two men were set to appear in court on Thursday following shootings in Hackney.

Jordan Shaw, 19, and Bolade Abifarin, 20, were due to appear at Barkingside Magistrates’ Court on Thursday following the incidents earlier this year.

The shootings took place on August 10 and 11 in London Fields Lido and Stoke Newington. In the second incident a man suffered a gunshot injury to the arm and was taken to hospital.

Shaw is charged with conspiracy to murder, attempted murder, possession with a firearm with intent to endanger life, possession of ammunition with intent to endanger life.

Abifarin is also charged with conspiracy to murder, possession with a firearm with intent to endanger life, and possession of ammunition with intent to endanger life.
