Two men were taken to hospital after an alleged stabbing following two disturbances in Scots towns.

Police were called to Echobank in Inverkeithing after a disturbance at 3.20pm on April 19. Eyewitnesses say that detectives taped off a pathway connecting Echobank with Roman Road.

One hour later officers were then called to Henryson Road, Dunfermline, at around 4.30pm - less than five miles away.

Police are treating the two incidents as linked.

A 46-year-old man and 25-year-old man were later traced and taken by ambulance to hospital. Investigations are ongoing into the incident. No arrests have been made.

A local resident told the Record: "I heard a man shouting that he had been stabbed. Then the police arrived.

"There were police and forensics here for the rest of the night."

Another resident said police were conducting door-to-door enquiries and asking neighbours for ring doorbell footage as well as CCTV.
