Two men have been sentenced for their role in a County Lines drugs operation in Aberdeen and the West Midlands.

Fleury Tsaty, aged 29, was jailed for three years and three months at Aberdeen Sheriff Court on Friday, June 28.

Wasem Sharif, aged 19, received an 18 month community payback order, with the pair having been arrested back in September 2022.

Their arrests came following the execution of warrants at several addresses in the Seaton area of Aberdeen as well as in Birmingham.

Heroin, crack cocaine and herbal cannabis with an estimated street value of £18,500 were recovered along with various mobile phones and a three-figure sum of cash.

It followed an intelligence-led investigation into County Lines drug trafficking involving both cities, with Police Scotland's North East Division assisted by colleagues from West Midlands Police.

Detective Constable Robert Graham said: "Drugs cause misery in our communities and this sentencing underlines Police Scotland’s commitment to the Serious Organised Crime Taskforce and the country’s Serious Organised Crime Strategy.

"We are working hard to ensure Scotland is a hostile environment for those who want to engage in criminal activity involving illegal substances.

"Investigations like this rely on the public and anyone with information or concerns about drugs within their community should contact Police Scotland on 101 or make a call anonymously to Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111."
