Two police officers have been stabbed in the heart of Soho.

The officers were off-duty at the time of the attack on Greek Street at around 3.30am on Friday.

The Metropolitan Police said they were called by London Ambulance Service to reports of one man suffering knife injuries.

On arrival police found a second man also suffering “stab injuries”.

Pictures from the scene show Greek Street cordoned off as forensics scour the scene.

A Met spokesman said: “Both males were taken to hospital for treatment – the condition of both males is now stable.

“A man has been arrested on suspicion of Section 18 grievous bodily harm GBH and possession of Class A drugs.

“He was taken to a west London police station where he remains.

“Enquiries into the circumstances continue.”

The attack came a month after a 29-year-old man was left fighting for life after suffering a serious head injury during a brawl on the same street.
