Two people were hospitalised in a horrible crash outside of Toryglen Regional Football Centre.

Last night, at around 8.30pm, the emergency services were called to a road traffic collision on Prosepecthill Road, Toryglen.

Two casualties were rescued by firefighters from the grey car which had ploughed into railings across from Asda Toryglen.

Two ambulances dispatched to the scene transported two 20-year-old men to the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital.

The emergency services left once the area was made safe again.

A Scottish Ambulance Service spokesperson said: “We received a call at 20:34 on 21 May to attend a road traffic collision on Prospecthill Road, Toryglen.

"Two ambulances were dispatched to the scene and two patients were transported to the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital.”

A Scottish Fire and Rescue Service spokesperson said: “We were alerted at 8.33pm on Tuesday, 21 May, to reports of a vehicle crashed into railings on Prospecthill Road, Glasgow.

“Operations Control mobilised two appliances to the scene.

“Two casualties were rescued and were in the care of the Scottish Ambulance Service.

“Crews left after ensuring the area was made safe.”

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: "Around 8.35pm on Tuesday, 21 May, 2024 we were called to a single vehicle crash on Prospecthill Road, Glasgow.

"Emergency services attended and two men, both aged 20, were taken to hospital as a precaution.

"Enquiries are ongoing to establish the full circumstances."
