Yahoo News Tyler Hynes, Jonathan Bennett and B.J. Britt to Lead ‘Groomsmen’ Movie Trilogy at Hallmark+
Hallmark is flipping the script with their upcoming trilogy, “The Groomsmen.”
The first set of romantic comedy movies told from the male perspective follows the lives and romances of three longtime best friends who stand next to each other on the biggest days of their lives. Pete (B.J. Britt) is a “kind-hearted pediatrician with a penchant for planning,” Danny (Jonathan Bennett) is a “baseball coach with a heart of gold” and Jackson (Tyler Hynes) is a “stylish and charming social media agent.”

All three “Groomsmen” films, subtitled “First Look,” “Second Chances” and “Last Dance,” follow the men as they find love and “wedding bliss” in Greece, Italy and Bulgaria. The trilogy will debut on Hallmark+ this fall.
The movie marks the second Hallmark film for Britt, who starred in “The Holiday Stocking” in 2022, while both Bennett and Hynes have become staples at the network. Both actors are also executive producers on the film, alongside Ryan M. Murphy for Groomsmen Road Productions Ltd. Allen Lewis, Ron Oliver and Marnie Young are co-executive producers and Kristina Kambitova and Phillip Roth are supervising producers. Charles Cooper is a producer. Oliver directed the three movies.

Hallmark Channel has seen success in the past with trilogies. “The Wedding Veil,” led by Lacey Chabert, Allison Sweeney and Autumn Reeser, debuted with three movies in 2022, followed by three more in 2023.
