Tyson Fury says baby number six is 'stable' in hospital

Tyson Fury has thanked fans for their prayers for his newborn baby, and said she is now "stable" in hospital.

The boxer and his wife Paris have just become parents for the sixth time, and new daughter Athena is currently in special care.

Little Athena was only born on Sunday but is already receiving messages of love and support from her famous dad's fans, and it sounds as though things are looking a little better since her birth.

On Monday, Fury posted on his Instagram stories: "Massive thanks for all the messages and support. The baby is in a stable position & doing well hopefully she comes out icu today.

"Please keep baby Athena in your prayers. Paris is doing great. God bless."

On Sunday, he had tweeted: "Please can everyone pray for my baby girl who was born this morning. Athena Fury. Born 8/8/21. Thanks God is Great."

Just before Athena was born, Paris shared a clip from the hospital delivery room on her Instagram stories of her husband watching the boxing on his phone.

She captioned it: "Even in this situation he’s watching the boxing."

The couple already have two daughters and three sons together: Venezuela, 10, Prince John James, seven, Prince Tyson, three, Valencia Amber, two, and Prince Adonis, one.

Paris, 31, spoke on Loose Women during her pregnancy about the challenges of expecting a baby during lockdown.

She said: "We were planning this one but it came at a great time, the idea was that it was wonderful, it was all great news until we came home and everything was in lockdown.

"There’s no school and everything was back up in the air. It was a great idea until s*** hit the fan."

Fury had announced that he and his wife were expecting again during an interview in February where he said he was "thankful" for his family.

He said: "That’s the most important thing you know, your health and your family. Nothing else really matters.

"Your job, your money, your wealth, your career, none of that really matters because you can get another job, you can start a new career, you can go make more money, it doesn’t matter. The one thing you can’t get back is your family."
